A leading Food Manufacturing organization in the UAE is looking for a competent Quality Food Safety HSE Manager – Edible Oil to manage and control the overall activities of the Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Food Safety Management System. Salary: AED 10000 to 15000 (Depending upon experience) Experience – 5 years of managerial work experience in Edible Oil Business. – 10 years of experience in laboratory and specifications’ analysis. – Previous experience as Management role within Quality and Food Safety. – Conversant with the refining process Details 1. Plan and ensure Integrated Management System requirements, its full implementation, improvement, and certification, including internal audits, management reviews, and the liaising with certification bodies. 2. Establish, maintain, and update sampling plans, testing methods, parameters and criteria for specifications’ analysis, as well as packaging material standards and specifications as per international standards requirements. 3. Plan and initiate the needed analysis for procured, in-process, refined oil, finished goods, as well as QC inspections of packaging materials and other procured products. 4. To review all standard specifications and test procedures of incoming RM, PM as well as FG. Approve necessary actions resulting from specifications’ analysis and QC inspections findings and communicate to the concerned units. 5. Must have detailed knowledge of documentation related to QMS and FMS. Previous knowledge mandatory for internal audits of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 22000:2005, FSSC 22000, BRC, HACCP, HALAL, Kosher, RSPO and GLP. 6. Establish, maintain, and monitor HSE initiatives, and initiate any necessary actions against violations or nonconformity related to Integrated Management System, as well as HSE controls. 7. Establish and maintain effective customer communication channels and systems, including complaint system, after sale follow ups, and Satisfaction surveys. Initiate corrective actions when required and develop formats as per requirements. 8. Plan for all measuring instruments, tools, gauges, and equipment to be maintained and calibrated, and conclude agreements with calibration agencies as needed. 9. Plan and conduct internal awareness training related to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Food Safety Management System and Good Manufacturing Practices. 10. Report to immediate supervisor any situation which could possibly present a hazard and cannot be corrected by himself. Also report all OSH related incidents and work-related injuries. 11. Prepare department budget with regards to manpower and CAPEX requirements in lab. Managerial/ Supervisory: § Plan, manage, distribute, and direct activities of the department to ensure smooth functioning. § Setting the department’s objectives and work plans, and follow up progress. § Managing Performance of the human resources in the department: objectives’ setting and follow ups, guidance and direction, knowledge transfer, performance appraisals, and training needs identification. § Monitoring staff discipline, attendance, and punctuality. Reporting: § Progress reports as required by top management § Internal and External audit reports to top management § Monthly and daily Analysis reports: Analysis Report, Filling Checklist, Batch Analysis Reports, Shelf Life Analysis Reports, FTA/COPR, Lab Chemicals and Glassware Inventory Reports. Education& Degree Master/Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Science or equivalent Training/ Certification/ Knowledge – Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 22000 and 45001. – Advanced knowledge in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP.) – Mastery in Quality and Food Safety Management System Requirements. – Advanced knowledge in food manufacturing regulations and laws, laws of Food Control Authority and Municipality. – Knowledge in Chemicals’ environmental impacts and health & safety hazards. – Knowledge in Health and Safety and Environmental principles.
