Synopsis Overall accountability for Etihad Engineering Supply chain performance and achieving its strategic and operational objectives. Responsible to ensure material availability to support Etihad Fleet, component overhaul requirements and all third-party aircraft maintenance programs. Full responsibility for Material Planning, Procurement including vendor management and Material Handling performance to targeted standards. Ethical procurement activities must be pursued and maintained at all times. Where services are performed on behalf of customers to ensure suppliers perform as contracted and where Etihad Engineering requires the supply of goods or services to be contracted, to execute same to maximum benefit of the company. Establishing and maintaining material planning strategies which maximize stock turn, optimizing material availability. Responsible to continuously develop supply chain with efficient strategies to achieve best in class results. Accountabilities Accountable to develop strategic business relationships with OEM’s, vendors, repair agencies and suppliers, maximizing the leverage of Etihad Airways for benefit of the business and its’ strategic objectives Develop supply chain strategies, policies and procedures delivering continuously improving results including performance monitoring and correction programs where necessary, delivering optimal levels of performance. Accountable for departmental compliance without compromise to: Etihad Airways Engineering quality standards, code of conduct, SH&E regulations, EASA, FAA, GCAA & other regulatory authority approvals and company safety standards. Must drive and deliver on strategic Procurement opportunities and initiatives and develop synergy opportunities, exploring all opportunities to trade spares inventories without compromising support to operations and maximising assets. Ethical procurement must be followed at all times and vendor management executed to ensure optimal procurement performance. Accountable for all Materials Handling performance including the safe storage of all company and customer assets in compliance with airworthiness standards as well as the stores performance in terms of material inspection at receipt and efficient handling to company targets at receiving, issuance and dispatch sections. Unserviceable aircraft parts also to be handled to company targets at component control centre. Responsible to Work closely with Senior Management members to ensure appropriate prioritization of business needs, operational requirements are handled efficiently. Maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders by establishing and implementing efficient and documented interface processes designed to maximize business success, achieve cost effectiveness and operational on-time performance Responsible to develop accurate measurement and KPIs, ensuring all supply chain department performance and efficiency reports are achieved according to EYEng Scorecard principles. Education & Experience University Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in Business, Planning or any Supply Chain appropriate discipline Minimum ten (10) years’ work experience in aviation supply chain with: at least seven (7) years’ experience in a supply chain related management role with an Airline/MRO facility and preferably a minimum of 5 years in a senior management supply chain role. Needs to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of EASA/FAA/GCAA regulations and, in particular, those related to supply chain requirements Must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of material planning, procurement, contract management and materials handling in an aviation environment About Etihad Airways Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, was formed in 2003 to bring “Abu Dhabi to the World”.
